1ST PLACE---WOW!!

Hello Cheer Parents-I am so proud of the girls they all did a great job. I have great pictures-but the stupid blogspot won't let me post them from work. I will try from home later tonight.

Pee-Wee Parents-remember there is no practice this week! Enjoy time with your children! We will practice on lining up and walking out to our spots when we get back. I know some of the girls were intimidated by all the people at JAMFEST. Once they got started they did a good job, there were only a few areas they need to work on. They almost got there heads together for make you do a double take. I am going to change and add some things to the routine.

Junior Parents-We will have practice on Tuesday. Friday night is our last night at Wildcard, please make sure you have paid. I will pass out individual papers at Tuesday's practice with amounts due. If you have not made your hotel reservation, please take care of that ASAP!

BAKE SALE INFO AND MORE!!!!

Hello Cheer Parents-

I appreciate the girls signing the banners and adding their own little special touches! Hopefully, it made a bright spot in the football players day!! Thanks to the moms and cheerleaders who worked the Bake Sale, we made $282.17.

Parents JAMFEST is Saturday, next Saturday, September 24th! It seems like I just posted about the fair competition and put a P.S.-JamFest is in 26 days. Where did the time go?

This week's practices are VERY IMPORTANT!! PLEASE make every attempt to be at practice UNLESS your child is SICK. Pee-Wee's will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:00 - 7:30. Junior's team will practice Tuesday and Friday (maybe Thursday depending on how practice on Tuesday goes)

Parents-this week is important and coaches will be stern with the girls to get stiff arms and intentional movements (no sloppy arms or well, yeah i am here to cheer attitudes). PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR FEELINGS HURT--no one is picking on your child, we are trying to make the team better as a whole. The Pee-Wee team will have ribbon tied around their right arm and right ankle to help them remember to use only that arm/leg during the cheer.

Pee-Wee parents let me apologize for Sarah's inability to commit to this team; I will address the issue on Tuesday and will try to take care of any concerns that you have.

The JamFest website has the following times listed for practice and competition times--

Pee Wees practice time is 3:03pm; Compete at 3:33
Juniors practice time is 3:45pm; Compete at 4:15

They also have this information listed for SPIRIT AWARDS-JAMfest will be awarding spirit awards to teams or groups who have demonstrated good sportsmanship, showed genuine spirit and had TREMENDOUS FUN! Make sure you make some noise! Please wear Orange and/or Black and get LOUD!!!

I will pass out a sheet on Tuesday that tells you things you need to know about JamFest like where to meet/what to bring/wear. Okay I have rambled enough-

See you on Tuesday-
Tammy

INDY COMPETITION INFORMATION

Hello Cheer Parents-

Big hugs to Madison Higdon!! I am glad you are feeling better.

Pee-Wee Parents-plan for your girls to stay after the game tomorrow for 30-45 minutes to practice. We changed a few things because we were over the time limit for JamFest and I want the girls to see it before Tuesday's practice. Also, plan on having practice 3 days next week and again on Saturday after the game.

Thanks to Amanda & Whitlee Goode, Christine & Meghan Johnson, Lori & Emily Maupin and Shelly & Taylor Paynein for taking care of the bake sale this coming Saturday at Wal-Mart in Fern Creek. I hope we make lots of MONEY for the banquet!

Junior Parents-I realize the competition is going to cost money out of your pocket-that is why I have been pushing the fundraisers!! I had my first Scratch and Help card turned in with the money on Friday!! Every little bit helps-the people who did the candle fundraiser the average amount was $25-one person really got busy and her competition fee to Indy and Wildcard paid with the candle money fundraising.

I still have Scratch and Help cards left.

Here is information on the hotel for Spirit of Indy competition.....

We have 20 rooms on hold, please use the telephone number (317-558-4100) to make reservations and it is imperative that everyone make their reservation before Monday, October 3, 2005 to receive this rate. Updates

Hello Cheer Parents-

Thanks to Teela Hardin for heading up the bake sale this coming Saturday from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Big Thanks to the parents that volunteered to bake. I am sorry I can't be there on Saturday but I have a prior engagement for the day.

Parents who were not at practice last night-I want to let you know that I gave the girls a lecture about being nice to each other and not disrespecting each other by pointing out mistakes made by someone. Michelle is the coach and she will take care of that. I really tried to emphasize that TEAMWORK has no I in it. We need every member of the team to WIN!

I am going to attend the meeting for the Optimist Cheer Competition on September 18th and my position is--if we can't compete the way we have the squads set up WE DON'T COMPETE in that competition!!

JUNIORS---The Spirit of Indy registration fee ($25.00) is due September 15th. Yvette and Tim Broadway have been checking into hotels for us around the area we are competing. I will be putting the info on the blogspot soon.

See everyone at practice
Tammy

P.S. PeeWee Parents don't forget your cameras on Thursday night!!

UPDATES

Hello Cheer Parents- A few more pictures from competition on Sunday.

I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing holiday weekend!

The bake sales we have had and are going to have in the future go toward paying for the banquet. The more money we raise the less it will cost! My goal is to have the banquet be free for cheerleaders and family! I know, it's a big goal but we can do it with TEAM WORK!! The parents who have helped THANK YOU-but we can't do it alone, I need more volunteers to bake and work.

Speaking of bake sales, Saturday, September 10th, 10:00am-2:00pm we will have a bake sale at the Kroger in Fern Creek. I need a parent to volunteer to set-up a card table, post some signs and organize the donated baked goods. I would like to have 2-3 cheerleaders (with parents) in uniform at the bake sale.

Last Friday, I started passing out Scratch and Help cards. The cards make $100 and you pay $20 for the card which gives you a profit of $80 going toward your account or to repay you for expenses you have paid in.

My daughter, Courtney went up and down 2 streets for about an hour and got people to scratch off $45. Parents-don't feel like you have to take all the fundraisers to work-let the girls get out there and work to help pay for some of their uniforms and competitions.

I DO go with Courtney, so she is not by herself!

Junior squad-please remember that Wildcard for the month of September is DUE!!

See everyone at practice---
