THANKSGIVING.....

Happy Thanksgiving....Hope everyone enjoyed thanksgiving day and spent a little time relaxing.

Just a few quick notes...

1. NO practice on Saturday.

2. Practice at Wildcard on Wednesday, November 30th @ 6:30. $30 DUE that night.

3. Fundraiser at Max and Ermas on Hurstbourne during lunch and dinner. Please distribute flyers to all friends, family and co-workers.

4. Banquet dress should be casual. The girls are going to be dancing and having a fun night.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH

HELLO CHEER PARENTS-

We are NOT having practice on Saturday, November 26th because I can't get the church on that day. Our next practice will be at Wildcard on November 30th, please bring your $30 on that date.

WILDCARD PRACTICE

hELLO cHEER pARENTS-

Michele has worked it out with Tom to have the practice floor on Wednesday nights 6:30-8:30. The cost will be $30 for each girl due on the first night, Wednesday, November 30.

I feel that $30 is a good price and worth every penny for the safety of our girls.

I will be at the church on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 if anyone would like to pay for the banquet or pick up their pictures.

hELLO cHEER pARENTS-

I just got confirmation from Max and Erma's on Hurstbourne, we can have a fundraiser there on
Thursday, December 1, 2005, we are working out the time but please plan on being there we need everyone's support.

Max and Ermas will provide 500 flyers saying FERN CREEK OPTIMIST CHEERLEADERS FUNDRAISER-20% OF SALES SUPPORT THEIR TRIP TO NATIONALS. We need to pass them out to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We will split the fundraiser total evenly between every cheerleader (family) who is there and participates.

NATIONALS HOTEL INFORMATION

Hotel information for JamFest Nationals competition

Hotel offers free continental breakfast which also includes hot items such as waffles and french toast. Rooms have 2 queen size beds and hotel also has an indoor pool.

We have a block of 15 rooms held under the group code of “Fern Creek Optimist”, with arrival scheduled on Friday, 01/13/06 and check-out on Sunday, 01/15/06. Reservations MUST be made by December 23, 2005 to guarantee availability and the group rate. Any unreserved rooms will be released as of 12/23/2005. Rate is $64.00 per night, plus tax.

To make your reservation, you must provide a credit card and use the Group code “Fern Creek Optimist”. You can call the hotel directly at 317-888-5535 or call the national reservation line for Fairfield Inn at 1-800-228-2800.

The hotel is about 8 miles from the RCA Dome so it is a short commute back and forth to the competition site. There are also several restaurant s close to the hotel, including Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, Texas Roadhouse, Damon’s, Wendy’s, and other fast food selections.

NOTE: Indianapolis is now on the same time as Louisville so there will be no confusion about what time it is!

Our girls did a wonderful job at Pappa John's! They showed everyone why we won 1st PLACE--

We do have a game tomorrow against Lyndon @ 2:30 at Shawnee.

Money for the Nationals Team is due by NOVEMBER 10TH. If you can pay tomorrow, GREAT--if not, please see me about dropping it off at my house or mailing it to me.

I know that I am a little bit passionate (a good word for psycho) about cheerleading and the competitions-but I love your girls and in my book it is ALL about them. I will fight for what I believe is right and will not back down-I may not always win-evident today of parents having to pay $5-but I will continue to fight for us.

REMINDERS

Hello Cheer Parents-

The Junior Squad needs to be at Pappa John's @ 10:30 am on Saturday; after we perform-we will have practice on Saturday from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Fern Creek Park.

Money for Nationals ($110) is DUE on November 10th, please plan on paying Saturday.

We have a game on Sunday at Shawnee at 2:30.

I need to finalize things for the banquet. I will be making phone calls over the next couple of days.

I have pictures that still haven't been picked up. I have been at the church two different days for an hour each time and only ONE person showed up to get their pictures.

Yvette has found a good hotel deal!!! We will have the information on Saturday.
