hELLO cHEER pARENTS-

Just a few reminders--

1. I will be at the church on Tuesday night, 6:30-7:30 to pass out pictures, collect money due or answer any questions about the banquet or nationals.

2. Junior squad needs to be at Pappa John's Stadium @ 10:30 am to practice before performing at half-time. We will practice at the Fern Creek Park on Saturday if the weather is good, I could not get the church gym. I hope to have practice times posted for Nationals tomorrow, I am trying to work out a few dates.

3. The Junior Football Team won this past Sunday at the BEST OF THE REST, so they will play and we will cheer next Sunday @ 2:30 @ Shawnee.

4. The competition we were looking at for December 3rd did not work out so it is cancelled. The banquet is scheduled for that night so we will have a good time.

INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS

Hello Cheer Parents--I have many things to blog about!!

1. Congratulations again to the cheerleaders. WELL DONE!!

2. Junior game will be on Sunday @ 5:30pm at Shawnee High School, 4018 West Market St.

3. Junior Squad will perform during half-time, November 5th at Pappa John's for the Play-Off game.

4. Junior parents who are interested in JAMFEST NATIONALS in Indianapolis.

The dates are January 13-15, 2006.
Cost is $110 per cheerleader.
I will begin looking into hotels ASAP!!!!
Money for JAMFEST NATIONALS IS DUE ON NOVEMBER 10TH.

(PARENTS-THIS IS OPTIONAL-ONLY COMMIT IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THE PRICE AND DISTANCE OF THE COMPETITION)

5. Practice for Nationals will be on Saturdays-a schedule will be posted on the blogspot. The first practice is going to be on November 5th after our performance at Pappa John's.

6. Junior parents we were also invited to attend Kentucky Regional Youth Tournament of Champions Cheer Competition because we won 1st place at the Optimist Competition.
The competition will be on December 3rd--12:00-4:00 @ DuPont Manual High School on Lee Street. The cost is $50 per squad, the people who were at the meeting last night voted to go. The only drawback is that it is on the same day as the banquet-maybe we will have another trophy for display!

7. I have the pictures ready. I will be at the church on Tuesday @ 6:30 to distribute them and collect any banquet forms or outstanding balances on your account.

I realize I put out a lot of information tonight. Call me if you need clarification on anything.

Hello Cheer Parents-All of our cheerleaders did a wonderful job yesterday. I am so proud of them. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE SPIRIT AWARD!! Thanks to everyone for the support. I am hoping to get some pictures posted to the blogspot tonight.

I will let everyone know what time the games are next week as soon as I get them.

Thursday, October 27th @ 6:00 the Junior Squad will have a meeting to discuss options for a nationals team.

Junior Parents-if you need to turn in forms or make final payment to your account, but are not interested in going to nationals I will stay at the church until 7:30pm.

Pee-Wee parents who need to turn in forms or make final payment to their account, please plan on coming to the church Thursday night before 7:30pm.

If you have an account balance and I don't see you on Thursday I will be contacting you!!!

Sunday, October 23, 2005 is competition day!

Please drop your child off at Iroquois High School @ 10:00 am. We will feed your child lunch, but please make sure they have

Hair Done
Uniform on with bodysuit underneath
Shoes and socks on
Mascara on their eyes

The competition starts at 2:00pm, they will start letting people in the door at 1:00 pm. This is a big competition and there will be LOTS of people there so I suggest getting there as early as possible.

The exact address for Iroquois High School is 4615 Taylor Blvd.

Hello Cheer Parents-

I know some parents are on information overload!! We have a lot going on--thanks to the pee-wee parents who have already turned their forms back in!!! YEAH---

Valu Market bagging is tomorrow night. If you don't have any plans, come up and spend some time bagging for the banquet. First shift is 5pm-7pm/Second shift is 7pm-9pm.

The game Saturday is against Hikes Point and I believe the park is Deprez (?) Park on Lowe Road off Taylorsville Road. (let you know for sure tomorrow on the blog)

Next weeks practices are MANDATORY! Everyone should be there! We are a team and we can't practice if we don't have everyone.

I am proud of all our girls...some of the girls have really stepped up and taken leadership roles. I am really proud of the Pee-Wee cheerleaders they have came far, there were a lot of new girls who had never cheered before. The Junior team is going strong--ready for a tough challenge in Indy competing against 7th and 8th graders-but hey I have faith!!

OPTIMIST COMPETITION

Hello Cheer Parents-

The Optimist Competition has been finalized!

DATE: October 23, 2005
TIME: 2:00 pm
PLACE: Iroquois High S0chool

We drew last night at the director's meeting for performance order and Fern Creek will perform last in both divisions.

This week is going to be a busy week and lots of information needs to go out. I will be passing out an envelope to each parent containing information needed for ordering pictures/banquet information and a statement regarding any money due. The junior parents will also receive directions to the Indy Competition.

Hello Cheer Parents-

The juniors did a good job at practice last night. I think they had fun! They know the routine but we still need to do some fine tuning. The pee-wees are working hard to learn a new beginning!! Michelle is a great coach and will really step up their routine.

If you are interested in a warm up suit, Michelle has to know by 1:45 pm today. Call me at work 852-5599!!

This weekend we are signed up to bag groceries at Valu on Saturday from 9:00-3:00pm. Please let me know when you can work-I would like to have 2 shifts 9-12 and 12-3.

Next Friday, we are also signed up to bag groceries at Value from 5:00-9:00pm. I realize it will be hard for people who do not get off work until 5:00, so parents who get off earlier or don't work please consider taking the first shift from 5:00-7:00pm. Second shift will be 7:00-9:00pm.

FYI

Hello Cheer Parents-As of 11:54pm on Sunday, October 2nd, only 9 people have made reservations at the hotel for Indy. PLEASE take care of this ASAP!

PARENTS-remember practice is at Okolona Church of Christ on Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30pm. I will be making telephone calls tomorrow to remind everyone. If you want to save me time, leave a message on the blogspot that you know where practice is and sign your name. I would greatly appreciate it.

Michelle and I met tonight with the other Optimist cheer directors and tried to finalize things. The date for the competition is going to need to be changed from October 30th. I am sorry!!!
The football schedule listed playoff as October 29th and November 5th, it does not say Sunday, October 30th, but there are playoffs on that day. Until next week, I am asking for your patience for an exact date.

I am trying my best to keep you all informed as soon as I know things.
